Who We Are
Jess
Creative Director
Jess, the Owner/Operator of Time Out relocated from Tauranga where she taught hairdressing for 11 years. As Head Tutor and Creative Director Jess was part of the hairdressing teams at major events such as NZ Fashion Week, Tarnished Frocks and Divas and many other successful events. Being able to include her students in hands on, on the floor training was a highlight in Jess’s teaching career. As a Senior Stylist for 25 years, Jess has been very successful in hairdressing competitions and enjoys the experience.

Jess loves every aspect of hairdressing and specialises in wedding hair. Education remains a great passion, so Jess keeps her hand in the education side of hairdressing as an Industry Assessor for apprentices sitting their National Certificate in Hairdressing. Jess works full time at Time Out and enjoys being an active member of the Pirongia community.
Kyliegh
Senior Stylist
Kyleigh, our Senior Stylist has been hairdressing for 33 years. Kyleigh started her career in Pukekohe as an apprentice and worked in busy upmarket salons before starting her very own successful salon here in Pirongia. During the 16 years Kylie owned “Time Out” she grew the business substantially and took home a “Highly Commended” award for “Excellence in Business”.

Kyleigh loves all aspects of hairdressing and has been catering to the hairdressing needs of our beautiful community and surrounds for a long while. Well loved by all who meet her, Kyleigh is somewhat of a local icon and works full time at Time Out. We are happy to say she is here to stay after selling the business to Jess. Yay!

Senior Stylist
We're thrilled to announce the addition of Louise Wilson, affectionately known as Lou Bird, to our hairdressing team! With over 23 years of experience in the industry, Lou brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to our salon. Lou's journey began with training at Rodney Wayne Hairdressing, followed by the exciting venture of opening her own salon after nine years. LB Hairdressing quickly became a beloved fixture in Oparau, with Lou also providing mobile hairdressing services to surrounding areas for a decade.

After a brief hiatus to focus on family, Lou is now eager to return to her passion for hairdressing and unleash her creative strengths once again. She adores every aspect of crafting modern hairstyles and finds immense joy in the satisfaction of her clients. Starting from June 18th, Lou will be available to work her magic on Tuesdays through Thursdays from 9 am to 2:30 pm. Whether you're a returning client or new to her chair, Lou extends a warm welcome and looks forward to creating beautiful looks together.
